Upcoming Events Saturday Feb 18 - CLUB TOURNAMENT - Long Hunter State Park (Times 6:00am - 3:00pm) - Weigh-in shortly after 3:00pm. @ Long Hunter State Park Boat Ramp. Be in the parking lot or inside the no-wake zone at Long Hunter State Park boat ramp by 3:00pm. *************************************************** Conservation Effort ***The September 2010 tournament on Old Hickory Lake was a measurement tournament with optional release. You could either measure the fish and video it on the measurement board and release the fish...or you could keep the fish and bring it to the weigh-in to be measured. Several fish were released alive because of this conservation effort. ***This effort was modified in 2011 to continue to allow the release of fish...but to use pounds in establishing the results. A formula of half a pound per inch is now being used to decide the weight of any fish that is filmed and released. This formula will continue to be modified as we now measure and weigh any fish that is brought to the weigh-in. This is a continuation of our effort to allow a fisherman "weigh-in" a fish and release it alive if desired. |
